On the fourth day of theAramark ‘4theForces’ Lands End to John O’Groats Cycle Ride, Regional Fundraiser Rosie Gibbons met the group at the RAF Museum Cosford. After that day’s gruelling 79 miles, the team reached Cosford mid afternoon, just in time to be met by a large crowd, an RAF Band, the Station Commandant and a film crew. Unfortunately this was all for the benefit of a tv programme that was being filmed, however it was a nice surprise and a great opportunity to raise some awareness for the Fund and SSAFA as well as a few extra pounds in the collection buckets. The crowd were very welcoming and supportive of our intrepid cyclists. As you will see from the photographs, most of the crowd were given RAFBF stickers and the boys received a “well done” from the Station Commandant and TV Presenter James May.
The team, made up of four cyclists and two support crew, aim to complete their amazing adventure on Saturday 30th May, and hope to raise £25,000 for services charities including the RAFBF.
A huge thank you to the team for their hard work and dedication and also to the Director of Marketing at Aramark, Hayley, for her superb support both yesterday at Cosford and throughout this venture.
